Melissa was born in the Dominican Republic, came to the United States in 1994. She started her family at an early age and became a mother of three children. She worked in the banking industry for ten years. It was during this time that she learned the importance of customer service and that making people feel comfortable and welcome. This believe is the driving reason that Melissa is thrilled and proud to be a part of Unity Café. It is her goal, just as it is for all the partners, to provide a warn and inviting place where people can feel welcome, have a great meal, and cup of coffee and feel at home.
